Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of death for 22-year-old Jalesseazay Posey, who was shot and killed in Springfield.

 Authorities are investigating the shooting death of 22-year-old Jalesseazay Posey in Springfield early Thursday morning.

Police were called to the Southern Village Shopping Center, which is situated in the 1400 block of Delta Road, just before 3:10 a.m. When officers arrived, they found Posey with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

According to the Springfield Police Division, the gunshot appears to be an isolated incident, and investigators are working hard to determine the circumstances surrounding the case. No suspects or people of interest have been made public.
