Hairston, Eddie III Virginia's Chesterfield County Eddie Hairston III, who was shot and killed in Chesterfield County, has died.

 Chesterfield County Police are looking into the shooting death of Eddie Hairston III, age 38, on Thursday morning, September 25, 2025.

At approximately 4:07 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 12300 block of Moores Lake Road in response to a report of a fatal assault. They found Hairston with multiple gunshot wounds when they got there. He was pronounced deceased at the spot.

Preliminary investigations reveal that Hairston was shot by a female adult householder during a domestic dispute after he allegedly threatened to murder her and attacked her with a gun. Authorities are currently investigating the event as a justified homicide. The police claim that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
