Following an overnight knife incident in Stafford that culminated in a deadly stabbing, Bridge Street is closed.

 Staffordshire Police have advised that Bridge Street in Stafford will be sealed beginning at Casa on Saturday morning due to a significant event that occurred overnight.


According to authorities, the restriction was put in place in reaction to a stabbing that occurred near a Bridge Street tavern late Friday night. One person was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment after emergency responders arrived on the scene just after midnight.



The police have not revealed the victim's condition or whether any arrests have been made in connection with the crime. Investigators are still on the site this morning, and officers are requesting that the public avoid the area as they do their investigations.

The closure is expected to cause some disruption in the town center, particularly in the vicinity of Bridge Street, where police have set up a cordon.As the investigation continues, additional details will become accessible.
