Lucille Lynn Morton-Anderson, 78, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Elmer K. Morton and Leola L. Woodward-Morton welcomed Lucille into the world on February 14, 1947. Her life was marked by devotion, love, and kindness. Growing up in Kenosha, she felt an unbreakable bond with her siblings, creating enduring memories with her four brothers—John, Elmer K. Jr., James, and Ken—and sisters, Barb and Ann.
Lucille dedicated her life to her managing position at Kmart for many years. She was well-liked there because of her relentless work ethic, natural leadership, and empathy for both customers and coworkers. Her diligence, kindness, and willingness to lend a hand when required set an example for others.
Lucille first met her real love, Kenneth "Dale" Anderson, in 1989. Following a beautiful courtship, the pair was married on Valentine's Day in a fitting celebration of their deep and lasting love.
Lucille's family was the source of her greatest joy and pride. She is survived by her sons, Anthony Pontillo Jr. and Scott Pontillo, her siblings Barb, Ken, and Elmer Jr., and her beloved daughter Sherry (Rick) Gedgaudas. She had a special place in her heart for Alex, Joe, Colin, Sam, Sophie, Annie, Nate, Gabby, Georgia, Logan, Simon, Zack, Charlie, JJ, Salomon, and her great-grandchildren, Dani and Jovie. She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family and the other people she touched over the years.

Everyone Lucille came into contact with was impacted by her warmth, humor, and unwavering love. Every space was made brighter by her presence, and those who had the good fortune to know and love her will always carry her memories with them.
